Governor's Visit Aids Export Push for Albury Wodonga Dessert Maker
Albury Wodonga cake and dessert manufacturer, Kooka Brotha's, believes this week's visit by Victorian Governor, Sir James Gobbo, will enhance the business's international reputation.
Kooka Brotha's has been chosen as one of the businesses on Sir James' itinerary this Thursday, 24 August.
Established in Wodonga in 1987 Kooka Brotha's manufactures cakes, desserts and puddings and using a special quick freeze method, enables businesses at the premium end of the food service market to serve a product that has an "in house" taste.
Managing Director, Phil Stuckey said the company had built a reputation throughout Australia and in a limited export market and the Governor's visit would help the company in its bid to expand that market.
"Overseas our products are seen as unique and innovative, high quality and only using natural quality and local ingredients," Mr Stuckey said.
"We see the Governor's visit as an opportunity to give him a first hand look at the quality control that is at every step of our process and talk to him about the export opportunities we are pursuing," he said.
